Here is what our local contact, Father Kimu, writes to us from Malawi: "Saturday 20 May was a wonderful day for me, for my teammates and especially for the 25 poor families who received news pumps for irrigation. The chief of the village was excited and thanked the Aleimar association for donations and for what it was doing for his people".
These 25 families who have received pedal pumps are also finishing the course on using these equipment and basic agricultural concepts so that on delivery of fertilizer and seed they will know exactly how to start the activity.
It's really a great joy to think how buying a simple tool to use can feed many families, but especially many children, if we think that on average, a Malaysian couple has about 8 children!
We are very happy for the success of this initiative and we hope to help many other families in the future!
