During the month of October our president Elena and other collaborators went in Malawi where they could see that the pedal pump project has now been tested and we are now able to gather all benefits and values that go beyond the water supply. Sure enough, thanks to the pedal pumps, not only the families included in the "Water for All" project have a water supply available to irrigate their fields, but they can do it in total safety. Perhaps, it isn’t known, but people can run a great danger if they move close to the lake water because there is a real risk of being attacked by the numerous crocodiles that infest it. On the other hand, pedal pumps can extract water from a deep hole dug away from danger. Moreover, the pedal pump given in use to a family is actually shared by several families; in this way whole communities benefit from this tool. Collaboration and sharing are the real key to success towards self-sufficiency. After our success, now we hope to create a complex water system that provide water for all inhabitans without use the water pump.
