Providing sufficient quantities of safe water, facilities for sanitary disposal and introducing hygiene education will reduce disease caused by lack of clean water and sanitary facilities for children
Many schools in Ruiru district have no access to safe water or adequate sanitation. The sanitation facilities are inadequately enough to serve the children. The government is unable to provide funds for construction of sanitation facilities. Administrations have been met with difficulties of overstretching sanitation facilities to high enrollment rate. To solve the problems we will establish toilets, washrooms, safe water and organise hygiene education for the children in Ruiru district
Procure materials for construction of sanitation facilities for 2 primary schools Procure 2 water tanks for the 2 school for rain water harvesting Establish WASH facilities for the 2 schools Organize hygiene education for 1350 children in 2 school
Reduction of diseases associated with drinking dirty water Existence of health and hygiene sanitation lessons in schools Availability of storage tanks and hand wash taps Sufficient functioning toilets with doors for privacy
