Water For People-Honduras held their annual reflection session in August. Local partners from the three districts where Water For People-Honduras works attended, in addition to representatives from national government sector institutions. In Chinda, Water For People-Honduras and partners have begun completing asset registries for all of the existing water systems in the district. This will serve to help calculate accurate live cycle costs for service provision. The goal is to complete asset registries for all systems in the district by December of this year. On October 1st, the northern chapter of the the Water and Sanitation Network of Honduras (RASHON) had their monthly meeting. This month, Water For People was the host organization, and took advantage of this space to share successes of the Commission to Buy Watersheds (COMIC) in El Negrito. The hope is that this effort will serve as an example to expand efforts to protect water resources in Honduras.
