Water For People-Honduras participated in two very important meetings recently. One meeting was of the National SIASAR Committee (SIASAR stands for National Rural Water and Sanitation System and is a monitoring system being implemented nationally in Honduras, Nicaragua, and Panama). In this meeting the quality of information that the system captures and the results of the pilots on sanitation survey collection were discussed. Second, Water For People participated in the monthly meeting of the Northern Chapter of the Water and Sanitation Network of Honduras (RASHON). In this case the host was the water service provider of San Pedro Sula, Aguas de San Pedro. The meetings are intergral to the work of Water For People-Honduras because they are opportunities for our staff to provide leadership on the importance of comprehensive monitoring (SIASAR meeting) and promote Everyone Forever with other sector organizations in Honduras (RASHON meeting).
