Introduction

One of the most promising and deeply meaningful initiatives of Al Ehsan Charitable Foundation Nepal is the establishment of a Waqf (Islamic Endowment) project aimed at achieving long-term financial sustainability for our humanitarian mission.

This project is not only strategic in nature, but also close to our hearts. It represents our sincere aspiration to move beyond short-term aid and toward a stable, self-sustaining model that can continuously support vulnerable communities in Nepal for generations to come.

Vision and Inspiration

Our vision is to establish a multi-story Waqf building in Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal, that will generate continuous income to fund key charitable and development programs of the Foundation.

This vision is inspired by a strong belief in the power of Waqf as a timeless Islamic solution—one that transforms charitable giving into lasting impact. Personally, this project holds deep spiritual significance. I once saw, in a dream, myself walking through a seven-story building in Kathmandu, filled with purpose and hope. We pray that Allah makes this vision a reality and places barakah in it.

Current Progress

By the grace of Allah, we have already secured 20% of the total required funding for this important and life-changing project. This initial contribution reflects strong trust in the idea and demonstrates that the vision is achievable with the right partnerships and sincere intentions.

This early progress motivates us to continue with determination, transparency, and careful planning as we move forward toward full implementation.

Purpose of the Waqf Project

The primary goal of this Waqf initiative is to create independent and sustainable income that will support essential programs of Al Ehsan Charitable Foundation Nepal, including:

• Orphan care and long-term orphan sponsorship

• Support for widows and vulnerable women

• Small-scale income-generating projects for poor families

• Community development and livelihood empowerment initiatives

Through this Waqf, these programs will no longer rely solely on seasonal donations, but will be strengthened by a stable financial foundation that ensures continuity, dignity, and growth.

Long-Term Impact

Once established, the Waqf project will serve as a financial backbone for the Foundation. Rental and commercial income generated from the building will be allocated according to Islamic Waqf principles, ensuring that the benefits continue uninterrupted for years to come.

This will allow Al Ehsan Charitable Foundation Nepal to:

• Plan long-term projects with confidence

• Respond quickly to emergencies

• Expand services to new regions

• Protect core humanitarian programs from funding uncertainty

Closing Reflection

We firmly believe that this Waqf project is not merely a construction effort, but a legacy of compassion, foresight, and faith. It is an investment in people, dignity, and sustainable change.

We ask Allah (SWT) to bless this initiative, accept the intentions behind it, and make it a means of continuous reward (Sadaqah Jariyah) for all who contribute to it.

Project Objective:
The Waqf project was launched to establish a sustainable source of income that would ensure the long-term stability and independence of Al Ehsan Charitable Foundation Nepal’s core programs, including education, health, water, and empowerment initiatives.

Progress During This Quarter:

• Initial awareness efforts regarding the Waqf initiative were carried out among local and international partners.

• Documentation and proposal drafts were prepared and shared with select potential supporters.

Challenges Faced:
Unfortunately, during this quarter, the Waqf project received only a minimal amount of contributions. This has slowed down the progress toward securing sustainable income through endowments.

Next Steps:

• Intensify awareness campaigns among well-wishers and institutions.

• Approach international donors and organizations that are familiar with Waqf projects.

• Develop small pilot endowment projects to demonstrate feasibility.

Conclusion:
