Based in the UNESCO Statistics from 2016, less than 10% of women in Kenya have the opportunity to go to university, and with this fundraising project we will pay the complete fees of Rudolf Steiner training to one teacher, finish to pay the partial fees of the two other teachers from Hai Africa School and buy pedagogy books providing them with high quality education in order to impact the education of 39 kids from our kindergarten. In addition, the funds raised will also help cover 1 year rent.
In a country that it doesn't exist free education and less than 10% of women have the opportunity to go to college, we want to give a chance to them to study in Rudolf Steiner School about Waldorf Methodology and connect themselves to an education based in love, emotions and nature. It's an opportunity to impact their families, our current 39 school kids, and transform their community. Education can empower these women and give them knowledge and confidence to change the reality around them.
Waldorf Education can promote a very deep self-development, and we believe that this opportunity is not just about going to college, it's about to connect people from different realities and turn these teachers into changemakers for a more lovely future and empowered community.
The project will impact directly the teachers of Hai Africa as also their families, school kids and our community. Waldorf Pedagogy Training is the opportunity to incorporate love and nature into education. We believe a humanized education holds the potential to inspire our community in Nairobi, Kenya and around the world. That's why, the additional funds will be directed to cover our monthly rent for 1 year and to the purchase up to 100 books to our new planned open communal library.
