As members of the International Business Internship Program, Brianna, Sarah, Michael, Joe, Max, and Kylee work weekly to address issues that our business partner, Mr. Abdullahi, encounters in their everyday practices. We are working towards finding business solutions which will bring about benefits for both our business partner and the entire community.
Mr. Abdullahi started as a cobbler's apprentice. After completing his apprenticeship, he started his own business and makes sandals, flats, and military boots. But starting a new business means new challenges. Since he only has one efficient sewing machine and a small workspace, his workflow suffers because of it. Because of this, he's is limited to only three designs of shoes, which isn't ideal in the diverse Nigerian terrain.
With your donation, we will buy Mr. Abdullahi the sewing machines he needs, so he and his employees could more efficiently produce shoes. In addition, we will buy him materials to publicize his business (such as a storefront sign and stickers with a newly designed logo) to more actively advertise his business. In donating, you would directly help expand Mr. Abdullahi's business and help him support his family.
On a larger scale, Mr. Abdullahi's outstanding military boots would aid Nigeria's army, and his beautiful flats and sandals would help schoolgirls and boys get to school faster without hurting their feet. In addition, your donation would help expand Nigeria's economy while giving local families the chance to live better, fuller lives. Please, donate today to help Mr. Abdullahi change lives!
