Dear WAFA Donors,
Whatever difference we made for our silent heroes, we did so together with you and because of your generous donations. The WAFA team is grateful for any donation to empower our silent hero communities worldwide. Without your support, the WAFA Awards event planned for September 2022 would not be possible. Many small steps have been taken to reach this milestone. Our gratitude for all that you do is immense.
We are pleased to share our 2021 activities:
Awards - prepared an impact report of past award winners
and received 60 award applications.
We always look for creative people, so we hired more Volunteers this year:
- Onboarded a co-CEO
- Established a Program Office and management plan
- Streamlined the award selection process
- On-boarded: a new Board Director, Co-CEO, Research & Applications team, R&A mentor, three marketing interns, Crowdfunding assistant, PR professional and a Video editor.
Communication:
- Produced a branding video, "Silent Heroes". Please, find it attached to this report.
- Commenced implementing our new brand
- Articles publicised in Asian and European media
- PeaceCast.tv featuring WAFA videos worldwide on UN Peace Day.
Fundraising results 2021:
- Raised about $12,000
- Submitted funding applications
- Strengthened WAFA's crowdfunding efforts
- Structured and strengthened our outreach to the corporate world
- Raised WAFA presence on social media
- improved the functionality of our website
- Implemented a mailing system.
Furthermore, WAFA expanded its stakeholder relations portfolio to include Danish Technical University (DTU), 11 multinational corporations, a Danish pension fund, a climate think tank, and a German family office.
Starting with one community today, WAFA plans to help 1000 communities have clean water, air, and food. The funds from this project will be partly used to make the Water Air Food Awards Celebration 2022 and empower WAFA AWARDS WINNING sustainable "NOW" solutions. Solutions come from those in need - SILENT HEROES.
Some of WAFA's most important goals and plans have been achieved with your support. Your continued support allows us to fulfil our mission.
