Our Foundation plans to organize two summer camps for the Little Explorers - these are 60 children with disabilities from all over Poland (participation in the camps is free). They need to go to summer camps more than ever before! After spending several months at home because of the pandemic, their bodies and psyches are in bad condition. We need your help to organize the stay of 30 volunteers at this year's camps. They bring a lot of positive energy and organize the children's time very well.
In Poland nobody wants to take children with disabilities to camps because they need special care with daily activities, eating or playing. These children are also affected by pandemics - their bodies are weaker because they have not had rehabilitation, they are lonely and closed in their homes. These children desperately need to go to camp with their peers and we - the Foundation need 30 volunteers to help us care for the Little Explorers.
We will be able to organize camps for Little Explorers if 30 volunteers come and help care for children with disabilities. From August 8 to 13, volunteers will organize art activities for 15 children with intellectual disabilities. From August 15 to 21 they will join activities during a sports camp for 45 children with physical disabilities. We will prepare and train volunteers to work with the disabled. We have to provide them with accommodation, food and insurance.
This project will prepare 30 young volunteers to care for the disabled. With their help we will organize two camps for small explorers for 60 children with disabilities from all over Poland. The camps will be full of attractions, sports, games, swimming in the lake, art therapy, wheelchair basketball and kayaking. This will allow the children to spread their wings and forget about their everyday problems. It will make volunteers more sensitive to the needs of people with disabilities.
