We are collecting resources that are available by the truck loads in San Diego and delivering them to where there is great need just over the international border into Tijuana. We will provide food and basic needs to homes for children, the elderly, infirmaries, shelters, and rehabs. We also lead 2 outreaches a week where 400+ people go through our food lines.
The people of these communities where we deliver food are very poor. They are not starving but have very little resource and many are malnourished. Many of the people work very hard 12 hour days 6 days a week. The average income is $12 a day. Though groceries, utilities, fuel all range comparable to the US. For example gasoline is $3.80 a gallon. The same as in the US where the average income is greater.
By providing basic staple food and other resources we are able to help bring a little relief to these facilities and families.
By providing consistent resources each week we believe that we can help make a small difference one day at a time. We also believe in investing in the local ministries to help them help their own communities.
