This project provides essential, practical and entrepreneurial skills to disadvantaged young adults from poor rural communities,offering them the potential to be gainfully employed and self sufficient
Young people in the scattered ,rural , often marginalised communities in SW Uganda live at or just below poverty level.Many are orphans.Their access to education , even at primary level ,is poor, so that they arrive as young adults with little or no skills to enable them to lead meaningful, decent lives. They are unable to maintain their own families or to contribute positively to their own communities.
The African International Christian Ministry Vocational Training College in Kabale seeks to provide basic skills and a wide variety of practical skills to both school leavers and school drop outs and those with very inadequate previous education.
We will lift many hundred youngsters out of poverty so that they both realise their own full potential and contribute to improved standards and morale in their own communities.
