Youth unemployment continues to rise across Niger State, leaving many young people trapped in poverty and vulnerable to crime, exploitation, and other harmful activities. Many have completed basic education but lack the practical skills needed to secure employment or start businesses. Without access to vocational training, thousands of youths remain excluded from meaningful economic opportunities and financial independence.
Elite Star Foundation will establish vocational training programmes in tailoring, carpentry, and ICT for more than 200 vulnerable youths. Participants will receive practical instruction, mentorship, entrepreneurship guidance, and essential training materials to prepare them for employment or self-employment. By equipping young people with marketable skills, the project will create lasting pathways to income generation and economic resilience.
More than 200 youths each year will gain employable skills that improve their earning potential and reduce unemployment in their communities.
