As we head into 2020, I can’t help but think about what an amazing year 2019 was. Did you know we ran 12 signature programs last year? We partnered with dynamic women from around the world to further human rights, created economic opportunity, promoted political and civic action, cultivated their leadership skills and created social change.
In fact, at the end of October we welcomed 30 new, young and INSPIRING women leaders driving social change in the US to the Vital Voices network with our first-ever Leadership Incubator in partnership with TRESemmé. Over the week-long program our fellows – all women in their 20s and 30s with big ideas and big projects to transform their communities – participated in trainings and workshops to build their leadership capacity and expand their networks. They bonded with six coaches from the Vital Voices Global Leadership Network, learning and growing from their prior experiences. We are thrilled to have been able to forge these new connections and invest in this generation of women leaders. We can’t wait to see what they’ll do.
