The village soccer teams are more than halfway through their first league. The Girls Under 16 team have been super stars. They have gained confidence and blossomed into lovely young girls, ready to tackle the world.
We are proud of the sportmanship shown both on and off the field. They have practiced hard during the week and give up their only free day to come into town to play soccer. At times, the results were disheartening, but they prevailed and won their last match 3-0.
The two boys teams have managed to hold their own and have shown prowess and sportsmanship on the field. The competition was tough and we are so proud of their efforts.
There is always next season and they will be stronger for having had this experience.
What is next for our village kids, Volley Ball League?
Congratulations to the coaches Sayon and Vesna who have put in the extra hours to ensure that the kids played well and had a good time as well. Thanks to Mr Say, our tuk-tuk driver, who ensures the cheering section at every session.
