We were excited to enter our 3 Soccer Teams in the Globalteer Soccer League that is in its first season in Siem Reap.
Teams from 25 NGO's in Siem Reap were invited to attend the Sunday morning Soccer League.
CCDO has proudly sponsored a Boys under 16 years and two Girls Teams. The Under 18 years and the Under 14 years.
The fields are smaller than the standard size and both teams play barefoot. The matches each last 20mins which makes the matches far more fast and exciting than a full 90min match. They have a team of 6 with 2 reserve players. Our players are proudly wearing the uniforms that were sponsored by Rumah Maz Indonesian Restaurant.
The girls under 14 team won their first match 3-0 and they drew their second match 1-1. The competition is tough and our two other teams have played well but have yet to see a win this season. But there are many more matches to come!
The team spirit is amazing and has given an extra confidence boost to the teams as well as the home school of TaPang in the Ampil Commune.
