Training and Support for Grassroots Organizations

First of all, if you're receiving this report there's a good chance you donated to this campaign of Village Earth and so let me start by thanking you! Without your support our work wouldn't be possible. 

This will be the last report we submit to Globalgiving before the end of our fiscal year (which ends today, June 30th). Having completed our finally tally of the year, I'm happy to announce that this has been our most successful year yet for our support of grassroots organizations around the globe. We are currently partnered with 17 different local grassroots organizations and provide a suite of services such as fundraising support, technical support, information, advocacy, research and training. Because we focus on a small number of organizations, we can provide one-on-one support, working together as allies.

This spring we implemented a standardized assessment of capacity for each of our Global Affiliates for which we are still waiting to receive all the results. This information will be critical for us in the coming year to provide more targeted support to help develop their capacity to access and manage resources and build real organizational power in their communities. In support of this strategic direction, we are currently developing a series of online courses that we'll make available to existing and interested affiliates in the coming year. 

We are exciting to see the growth of this program last year and look forward to growing and refining it this coming year. We hope you'll be along for the ride!
