Veterans Assistance Fund — Quarterly Update This quarter, the Affordable Homeownership Foundation continued its work supporting veterans across Southwest Florida with housing counseling, financial coaching, and homeownership guidance. Our HUD-certified counselors worked with 20 veteran households, helping them navigate rental stability / prepare for homeownership / resolve housing crises.
A Navy veteran in Lee County who came to us facing eviction and is now on a stable payment plan with a path toward permanent housing". Veterans remain one of the most vulnerable populations we serve, often navigating housing instability alongside the transition to civilian life. Our team continues to prioritize this work regardless of funding levels, because the need doesn't pause when giving slows down. This quarter, the Veterans Assistance Fund received $100 in donations through GlobalGiving. Every dollar directly supports the counseling and case management veterans rely on — even modest gifts help us keep services free and accessible. As we head into next quarter, we're focused on growing awareness of this fund so we can expand the number of veteran households we're able to reach. Thank you to everyone who has supported this work. Your generosity at any level makes a direct difference for the veterans in our community.
