We received a call from an elderly Veteran's wife that we had helped previously 6 years ago with a roof replacement. She told us the grass had gotten very tall and they didn't even have a mower to attempt to mow the lawn. She proceeded to tell me he had been diagnosed with Lukema and was not expected to live and was unable to walk and that Racoons that he used to feed that he thought were so cute had gotten into their attic and was destroying the interior of the house in the attic.
I called our person who does our lawn maintenance for our properties that we owned and he went out and mowed their lawn for and will continue to do so to help the Veteran out until the end of summer. Each mowing costs $40 per week X 3 months= $420.00 and then We paid Critter Control to trap and remove the Racoons at a price of $500. The amount we spent for this quarter was $920, the amount we received in donations was $75.00. In order for us to continue to continue to help our Veterans we need your help! Please consider a donation to this very important fund!
