Another Grateful Veteran!
We had a Veteran call us who was desperate to be housed. He spent 25 years in our Armed Forces, twice as a Marine, Twice as an Army Soldier, once as a Naval Coreman and since he got out of the military had been struggling to find housing. Every place he appllied took a large amount of money for a deposit and a background check fee and because he had his indentity stolen, his credit had been ruined and no one would house him. This all happended due to a traumatic brain injury while he was serving in Iraq.
Affordable Homeownership Foundation met with him and we had room at one of our houses that we manage so we were able to house him immediately, we paid for his first month's rent plus deposit and we are working with him to get back on his feet and correct the issues with his credit!
Thanks to the Vetertans Assistance Fund another deserving member of our Veteran Community was able to be housed. Thank you so much for all you do to make this a reality for so many deserving Veterans!

We we received calls on two Veterans that were homeless and were in the need of housinglast month. In an effort to get them housed by Thanksgiving we rushed through the paperwork and got them housed in the fully refurbished home by the day before Thanksgiving and were able to deliver Thanksgiving Dinner to them in their new home. One of the Veterans is 75 and has cancer, the other Veteran is 45 and just got a job with a Supermarket and had been living on the street.
When we bought this house the pool was popped out of the ground and it was infested by bees but we knew that we had to hurry and complete this project so that we could house our Veterans that had become homeless. Both men are loving their new surroundings and we were grateful to be able to house them before the Holidays!

Happy Veteran
Tony is a disabled Veteran who was struggling to survive, his family needed help taking care of his neices and nephews (2 girls, 2 boys) ages 2-17 their parents were no longer in the picture so Tony decided to step up and apply for custody of these children to give them a better chance at a new life. Tony was able to adopt 3 of the four children, but had forgotten the cost involved with raising children as both of his biological children are grown.
Tony needed help with furniture, clothing, food and just insuring the kids had eveythin they needed to survive, so The Veteran's Assistance fund helped Tony with all of the items for his new children, beds, sheets, towels, furniture, food and presents for Birthdays and school supplies. Being a single parent is never easy but taking on the challenges of being a disabled Veteran and a single parent were at times overwhelming. Tony is one of our Veterans that we help on a regular basis to insure he and the children are doing OK, should he need help with anything we make sure we can find the funds to help. With our help from your donations we are able to help Tony and other Veterans Like him. Thank you for all of your help your donations do make a difference!
