By Cora Sayre | Project Leader
Dear Friend,
Warm greetings and thank you very much for your generous support to our project providing vegetable seeds and garden tools for those affected by the Marawi crisis. Until this time, the crisis is still on-going with ISIS-inspired militants holding it out in the heart of the broken city. For our assistance we are reaching-out to home-based evacuees who have gone to their relatives and whose food needs maybe severe. They are the ones also not reached by aid agencies as they concentrate on those in the evacuation centers. We coordinated with the barrio and municipal officials to locate the evacuees and then bring them for a small training on vegetable gardening. This reporting period, with the help also of other partners, we are able to provide assistance to 120 families so that they are able to start their backyard gardens.
Again, thank you very much for your generous support.
Very sincerely yours,
Cora
