The Vaccination Drive for 500 Children in Kano, implemented by Elite Star Foundation, is at the early stage of implementation, with initial support received to begin preparations for the planned community-based immunization activities. The project has a total financial target of $2,030, of which $31 has been raised from three donors, leaving an outstanding balance of $1,999. This represents approximately 1.5% of the total project budget.
At this stage, the limited funds available have constrained the project's ability to carry out the full vaccination outreach. Initial preparations focus on community mobilization, coordination with local health workers, and logistical planning to reach children aged 0–5 in underserved communities. The planned activities include providing recommended vaccines, educating caregivers on the importance of immunization, and maintaining vaccination records for follow-up.
Elite Star Foundation remains focused on ensuring that available resources are managed responsibly and directed toward the project's intended health outcomes. As implementation progresses and additional funding becomes available, the organization aims to expand outreach activities and improve access to essential vaccinations for vulnerable children in Kano State.
