One of the Great Cormorants that was injured during Uttaryan made a marvelous recovery. The bird was released two months after the injury as it was very deep and took a while to make a complete recovery.
The patagium was severed due to the kite string along with the patagial muscle. Cormorants don't have very long wings, but they have to flap their wings constantly before they can glide for long distances. They are excellent swimmers and divers.
This beautiful bird was very excited to go back to its natural habitat.
