Thank you so much for sponsoring the 2014 Just Play event. The 2014 event went off without a hitch. Even the "hurricane" saw fit to stay away from this day of play for the island kids.
I wanted to reach out early this year to ask for your generous support once again for the 7th Annual "Just Play" event to be held on October 12th of this year. We are always looking for ways to decrease costs and provide an even more enjoyable event so this year we are concentrating on getting all sponsors on board early so that we can get the T-shirts and promo material shipped down to St. John early, as apposed to bringing those items down with me on the plane.
We have a deadline of August 1st to get all sponsorship's in to the St. John Community Foundation. This will leave us enough time to not only get the promo material finished by August 31st and ready to ship down, but it will also mean that you, the sponsor will receive extended advertising time!
Incredibly, these events are worth over $60,000.00 each. The donations of product from our sponsors cover over $54,000.00. This leaves just over $6,500.00 of expenses left to cover. Every year we count on cash donations to cover these expenses which include T-shirts, water bottles, trophies and medals, shipping, Gatorade, event entertainment, event insurance, facility rental and other hard costs associated with putting this event on.
I have attached our sponsorship levels for 2015. Last year we started a "sleeve sponsorship program". The first 4 donations $1000.00 or more will get their logo printed on the sleeves of the shirt. Please let me know if you are interested in this program this year so I can keep track of how many sleeve sponsors we have.
