Putting in place various interventions to help war victims in the Democratic Republic of Congo
There are more Internally Displaced Persons and Refugees who are not yet counted at national level, they still live in total indifference of actors in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Even the statistics of IDPs and Refugees in DRC is not yet known, each actor gives what he/she is able to provide, and also that is fine, however we have been clear, it is not about knowing everyone but giving relief aid to those affected. In some areas despite the fact that IDPs and refugees are nearby, still they remain unknown because the communities do not care so much about the plight of others.
We are currently involved in charity drive in order to rise the situation of vulnerable people in Maluku, near Kinshasa who are victims of Mobondo war, this ethnic conflict has affected so many lives and despite the fact that the victims are just near the Capital City Kinshasa, yet no one cares about them.
Encouraging IDPs and refugees to be more organized and make their voices heard, it is also one among the approaches we are using for their visibility, and lastly promoting durable solutions through livelihood activities.
For the last three months we have made two visits in Maluku to interact with Mobondo war victims, we have also provide them with relief aid as we could afford, we have also made two refugee home visits and various refugee meetings.
