Matilda Carepath Health Foundation is seeking support to provide critical heart surgery for underprivileged children in Nigeria. These children are experiencing ongoing pain, and their families are facing severe economic hardships. Thiey cannot afford medications and leaves them in constant fear of losing their children. The funds will enable us to assist more families Additionally, we aim to raise awareness about childhood heart diseases through public education initiatives.
Critical congenital heart diseases are a leading cause of deaths in infants and children in Nigeria. Mortality rates have risen, and heart surgeries are costly, leaving many underprivileged families unable to afford them. Delayed interventions worsen their conditions, alarmingly leading to premature deaths. Our health Foundation is struggling to cope with the growing demand for assistance, making it difficult to provide timely response.
This project will directly save the lives of chirently waiting for heart surgeries but whose families cannot cover the costs. By raising funds, we will ensure that underprivileged families no longer have to be faced with burden of watching their children suffer the pangs of life threatening disease.
Beyond the surgeries, we will also build collaborations with healthcare providers to raise awareness about issues relating to maternal and child health on preventive care practices, through evidence based strategies, this reducing the risk factors. And improving outcomes for affected children.
