Dear Donor,
Thank you for supporting Development Alert’s commitment to protecting vulnerable households during public health emergencies.
For families placed under monitoring or quarantine, following health guidance can be difficult when food and other basic necessities are unavailable. Without practical support, household members may feel compelled to leave home to obtain essential supplies, creating additional challenges for prevention efforts.
Nigeria’s latest situation report, dated 3 November 2026, recorded 62 contacts under follow-up, with 57 in quarantine facilities. The figures highlight the importance of ensuring that people undergoing monitoring have access to appropriate support.
Development Alert’s community response has included food assistance to quarantined communities, recognizing that prevention measures must take account of people’s daily needs. We believe that households should not have to choose between protecting public health and meeting their basic needs.
Alongside essential assistance, community engagement can help families understand monitoring guidance, access available services, and maintain dignity throughout the process.
Your generosity helps turn public health recommendations into practical actions that families can follow. Thank you for standing with communities facing difficult circumstances.
