Dear Donor,
Thanks to your generous support, we are strengthening community awareness around the importance of recognizing and reporting unusual illness as early as possible.
In an Ebola outbreak, communities are often the first place where changes in someone's health become visible. Encouraging families, community leaders, teachers, transport workers, and other trusted individuals to understand warning signs can help reduce delays in seeking appropriate care.
The continuing transmission of Bundibugyo virus disease in the DRC demonstrates why early community alerts remain essential. WHO reports that delays in detecting cases and accessing care can allow transmission to continue within households, communities, and healthcare settings.
Our efforts therefore emphasize responsible reporting, accurate information, and cooperation with health authorities.
Your support is helping strengthen the community-level foundation needed for faster detection and a stronger outbreak response.
