Dear Donor,
Thanks to your continued support, we are emphasizing the importance of preparedness when Ebola reaches communities that have not previously experienced confirmed transmission.
Newly affected areas can face uncertainty, fear, and limited understanding of what an outbreak response involves.
Our awareness approach encourages communities to quickly connect with trusted health authorities, learn appropriate prevention practices, report suspected illness, and avoid stigmatizing affected families.
The geographic expansion of the current DRC outbreak has included newly affected health zones, including Dungu in Haut-Uélé and Bulu in Sud-Ubangi. WHO has highlighted this expansion as increasing concern about cross-border transmission.
Your contribution helps communities respond to new risks with knowledge rather than fear.
