Dear Donor,
Thanks to your continued support, we are promoting responsible health-information sharing during the Ebola response.
In an outbreak, information can spread quickly. Unfortunately, inaccurate information can spread just as quickly as reliable information. Rumors can create fear, encourage stigma, and discourage people from seeking appropriate care.
Our community awareness efforts encourage people to verify health information through trusted sources before sharing it with others.
We also emphasize the importance of communicating practical prevention messages rather than spreading unverified claims about suspected cases or affected families.
WHO continues to identify community engagement and trust as essential elements of the Ebola response.
Your contribution is helping communities become not only better informed, but also more responsible participants in public-health communication.
