Dear Donor,
Thanks to your generous support, we continue promoting accurate and understandable health information during the Ebola response.
When an outbreak continues for an extended period, communities can become overwhelmed by conflicting information and rumors. Our awareness work encourages people to seek information from trusted health professionals and recognized public-health authorities.
We focus on practical messages about symptoms, hygiene, early reporting, contact monitoring, healthcare seeking, and protection from stigma.
Accurate communication also helps families understand why health teams may ask questions about contacts, movements, or possible exposure. Building this understanding can encourage greater cooperation with surveillance activities.
WHO emphasizes that community trust is critical to surveillance because health teams depend on communities to report alerts and participate in investigations.
Your support is helping make reliable health information more accessible at community level.
