Dear Donor,
Thanks to your continued support, we are promoting compassion and reducing stigma toward people affected by Ebola or placed under monitoring.
Fear can sometimes cause communities to isolate or blame individuals and families. Such reactions can discourage people from reporting illness or seeking healthcare.
Our awareness work encourages communities to understand that people affected by Ebola need accurate information, appropriate medical care, dignity, and support—not discrimination.
We encourage families and community leaders to challenge rumors, avoid labeling people based on suspected exposure, and support safe reintegration after appropriate health guidance.
Building trust is essential to effective surveillance and response. WHO has emphasized the role of community trust in helping surveillance teams receive and investigate alerts.
Your support is helping make Ebola response more compassionate as well as more effective.
