Dear Donor,
Thanks to your generous support, we continue promoting early and safe access to appropriate healthcare for people who become ill.
Fear of Ebola can sometimes cause people to delay seeking assistance. Unfortunately, delayed care can increase risks for patients, families, healthcare workers, and communities.
Our awareness activities encourage people with concerning symptoms or possible exposure to contact health professionals promptly and follow official guidance about where and how to receive care.
WHO has identified delayed detection and limited access to timely care as continuing challenges in affected areas of the DRC.
Your support is helping communities understand that seeking appropriate medical assistance early is an important part of protecting everyone.
Project reports on GlobalGiving are posted directly to globalgiving.org by Project Leaders as they are completed, generally every 3-4 months. To protect the integrity of these documents, GlobalGiving does not alter them; therefore you may find some language or formatting issues.
