Dear Donor,
Thanks to your generous support, we continue supporting community-level preparedness that contributes to stronger health protection across borders.
The current Bundibugyo virus disease outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo has expanded to 63 health zones across seven provinces, increasing the importance of coordination and preparedness in neighboring countries. WHO has specifically emphasized cross-border preparedness as part of the response.
Our community-focused interventions promote awareness among people living and working in areas connected by travel, trade, and family networks. We emphasize hygiene, early reporting, cooperation with health authorities, and avoiding misinformation or stigma.
Cross-border preparedness is not about restricting communities; it is about ensuring that health information and early-warning systems can move as quickly as people do.
Your support is helping build stronger community resilience and preparedness—protecting families today while strengthening the foundation for future health emergencies
