Dear Donor,
Hygiene promotion remains an important component of Ebola prevention, particularly in communities facing limited access to water and sanitation.
WHO reports that overcrowding, limited water, sanitation and hygiene services and restricted access to healthcare can undermine infection prevention and timely care in affected communities.
Development Alert continues promoting practical hygiene awareness among households and community groups.
Our messages encourage appropriate hand hygiene and other preventive practices while reminding people to follow guidance from trained health professionals.
The objective is to make prevention practical even in difficult circumstances.
Communities should not have to wait for an outbreak to intensify before learning about basic protective practices.
Your support helps bring practical hygiene awareness closer to vulnerable communities.
