Dear Donor,
The latest Ebola figures from the Democratic Republic of Congo demonstrate that the response remains an urgent priority.
According to the latest ECDC update, the DRC has reported 8,224 confirmed Bundibugyo virus disease cases and 3,982 deaths, with 2,121 people having recovered. A further 53 confirmed cases and 28 deaths were reported in the latest reporting period.
Development Alert continues strengthening community preparedness through health education, hygiene promotion, early reporting and responsible risk communication.
The latest cases were reported from Ituri, North Kivu and Haut-Uélé, demonstrating that transmission continues to affect multiple areas.
Our community-focused efforts encourage people to recognize concerning illness, seek qualified healthcare and cooperate with trained response teams.
Your support helps keep communities informed and prepared as the outbreak continues to evolve
