Uplift a Child International thank you for your donations. You will be very happy to see your donation put into action in the months of June & July. These 2 months are the busiest months for us as schools re-opens and we process the admissions.
We are very busy with the following below
School Uniforms: All our volunteers in India are currently working with the children and parents to get more than 2500 pairs of school uniforms stitched. They have already completed taking measurements. By next week, all our children should be getting their new school uniforms so that they can go to school.
Text Books/Note Books: We have partnered with 40 local schools all over India to buy books behalf of us and give them to our children. That will be done in the next 2 weeks.
Shoes/Socks/Tie/Belt: Our Volunteers partnered with local vendors who do not take profit from us and give the shoes, socks, tie and belt for very nominal prices. This is how everyone is making a difference by giving us a helping hand.
School Fee: We rose close to $6500 through Globalgiving.org and $55000 through our regular sponsors (300 families from all over USA and 9 other countries) who sends us checks every year. We will be paying a portion of the school fee to all the schools. We do have 6 more months to pay the rest. We are hoping to get help from the public as our goal is to raise $150,000 to support 1000 children.
