This initiative will equip 15,000 rural youth in Ghana (ages 12-22) with essential skills for personal growth, improve employability, and leadership. Through online and in-person trainings, APF will engage global youth activists and professionals as speakers and mentors to deliver sessions on digital literacy, career choice, entrepreneurship, financial literacy, mental health, and servant leadership. Overall, it empowers participants to dream boldly, take initiative, and build meaningful lives.
Ghana's Volta Region is among the poorest, leaving rural youth with limited access to quality education, career guidance, and skills development. This leads to low motivation, lack of digital skills, poor critical thinking, unemployment, teenage pregnancies, substance abuse, and school dropouts. Youth also face mental health challenges and are underrepresented in leadership. Investing in education, digital literacy, entrepreneurship, and leadership is key to empowering youth and breaking poverty
We collaborate with school and rural community leaders in rural communities to provide tailored training and mentorship for both in-school and out-of-school youth. By engaging a global network of youth advocates and professionals as mentors and guest speakers, we deliver diverse sessions - both online and in person - on topics such as digital literacy, career planning and resume writing, financial literacy and entrepreneurship, servant leadership and public speaking, and mental health awareness.
This initiative will empower 15,000 rural youth by unlocking their potential and equipping them with skills for economic and personal growth. It will enhance entrepreneurship, financial literacy, digital literacy, mental well-being, and leadership, enabling youth to dream big and build a brighter future. Also, the program promotes youth-led solutions to social and environmental challenges and develops self-sufficient leaders who drive sustainable development, reducing poverty.
