Fundacion Rionegro empowers rural women in Eastern Antioquia - Colombia to pursue university / trade school education. Through the Loyola Residence, we provide safe housing, meals, and programs that foster empowerment. With University for Life, we help students build meaningful life projects and eventually become agents of change in their home territories.
Rural women faced long commutes, unsafe conditions, and financial hardships in order to study. Many dropped out due to lack of housing, limited opportunities, and cultural barriers that restricted their dreams. Without support, their education and empowerment remained fragile.
Residencia Loyola offers secure, affordable housing and meals. It removes geographic and economic barriers. University for Life it's a program that provides workshops for self-reflection and empowerment, based on interaction with each beneficiary and identifies which ones they need to nurture or adjust for their life project.
