We are currently implementing the Community Alliance for Comprehensive Early Childhood Care project, which aims to increase equitable access to quality care and education services for early childhood living in vulnerable conditions in Honduras through the implementation of a comprehensive program aimed at strengthening the knowledge, skills and competencies of parents, directors, teachers and caregivers; supporting AEPI providers in the diagnosis, capacity development, improvement plan and evaluation of the environment and learning experiences offered to children and the generation of economic opportunities for mothers through technical-vocational training for employment and self-employment.
As an important part of this project, we are implementing the methodology of Community Circles for Early Stimulation. To date, we have established 15 community circles, which are facilitated by community volunteers who have been trained by the technical staff of our foundation. Parents, caregivers and children participate in the circles and the goal is to teach parents activities that they can do at home to stimulate their children's development. We hope to implement 15 more circles before the end of 2024.
