The 2022 invasion of Ukraine has resulted in tens of thousands of deaths, a crippled economy, and one of Europe's largest refugee crises since World War II. UNICEF estimates that 7.5 million children are at risk. Children & Charity International is collaborating with Sincere Heart Foundation to provide one-of-a-kind, Recovery Camps that offer humanitarian assistance, medical care, and psycho-emotional rehabilitation. Your donation will support Ukrainians in need, now and in the future.
The trauma of war is reshaping the Ukrainian society. Children, youth and families with psycho-emotional trauma needs rehabilitation. Most of the families we support are badly traumatized from being bombed out of their homes, seeing loved ones tortured, abused and killed. Many females have been sexually assaulted by Russian soldiers. They require regular treatments to reduce mental and physical pain. These families cannot afford to flee, and their access to care is limited.
All donations to the Ukrainian Survivors Recovery Camps Fund will support IDP families in impacted communities and surrounding regions to receive treatment. We will ensure that affected Ukrainian children, youth, and families have access to remedial therapies. Psycho-social and Physical therapy help reduce pain and aims to improve neurological and sensory function. Child-dependent, regular treatment shows significant improvements in gross motor function, balance, coordination, and vocalizations.
No one should have to live with psychological or physical pain because of war. And war should not prevent a child, mother or family from accessing essential medical care. Children & Charity International and Sincere Heart Foundation are helping the most vulnerable people in our society. By supporting Ukrainians in need, we support democracy and social welfare. Our assistance creates space for society's most vulnerable children, youth, and families to be remembered.
