As of April 2026, the Uganda Refugee Health Insurance and Development Fund continues to make a meaningful difference in the lives of vulnerable refugee households in the West Nile region. Thanks to the faithful support of our donors, we continue to provide free health services to six refugee families through the Go-Card insurance program, helping them access essential medical care without delay or financial burden.
The journey of this project has made encouraging progress. Among the successes, one child supported by the program recovered from a serious malaria infection because the insurance scheme covered the treatment costs in time.
The impact of this initiative reaches beyond treatment alone. By assisting six refugee families, the project is helping to build greater stability, protection, and hope for children and caregivers alike. In addition to healthcare, we are providing educational support to children in these families, strengthening their opportunities for a safer, more secure future.
This work remains possible because of your partnership. Your generosity continues to sustain a vital source of care and support for refugee families in West Nile. We sincerely thank you for standing with us.
