Typhoon Doksuri, known locally in the Philippines as Typhoon Egay, has already caused extensive damage in the Philippines, southern China, and Taiwan, with additional impacts still anticipated. Nearly one million have been affected in the region, and hundreds of thousands have been evacuated as loss of life, injury, and weakened infrastructure continue to take their toll. All donations to this fund will exclusively support relief and recovery efforts for Typhoon Doksuri/Egay.
Typhoon Doksuri/Egay has already caused severe impacts in the Philippines, southern China, and Taiwan, with additional impacts anticipated in the coming days. Hundreds of thousands have been evacuated, with power losses, infrastructure damage, and loss of life and injury ongoing. Your donation to the Typhoon Doksuri/Egay Relief Fund will meet emergency needs of food, water, shelter, and medicines, and will provide long-term recovery support in affected communities.
All donations to this fund will support relief and recovery efforts in the Philippines, China, Taiwan, and surrounding impacted communities. These efforts will be led by GlobalGiving's extensive network of vetted partners in the region. Initially, the fund will help first responders meet survivors' immediate needs for food, fuel, clean water, hygiene products, and shelter. Then, this fund will transition to support longer-term recovery efforts run by local, vetted local organizations.

When a disaster strikes, recovery efforts led by people who live and work in affected communities are often overlooked and underfunded. GlobalGiving is changing this reality. Since 2004, we've been shifting decision-making power to crises-affected communities through trust-based grantmaking and support.
We make it easy, quick, and safe to support people on the ground who understand needs in their communities better than anyone else.
They were there long before the news cameras arrived, and they’ll be there long after the cameras leave. They know how to make their communities more resilient to future disasters, and they’re already hard at work. GlobalGiving puts donations and grants directly into their hands. Because the status quo—which gives the vast majority of funding to a few large organizations—doesn’t make sense.
