These are some of our favorite things at Imani Collective, as they are key to building self efficacy in our artisans and setting them up for long-term success. And through our artisan celebrations, we get to do just that!

By awarding "Artisan of the Month", holding birthday parties, and making sure to carve out time to uplift and celebrate one another, we are able to care for our artisans' social and emotional needs. We have seen the powerful role that a supportive community plays in empowering individuals to rise above poverty, and the ripple effect it creates for those around them. Thank you for supporting our holistic care initiatives that are bringing so much joy to others and truly transforming generations in Kenya!

Jackline is originally from Kilifi County and is a mother to three children. Before finding stability at Imani Collective four years ago, Jackline and her children were moving from place to place as she searched for work to make ends meet. 

Now, as a proud member of Imani Collective, Jackline and her children are empowered to lead better lives. Joining as a finisher, she not only acquired new skills, but also found a community that nurtured her personal and artisanal growth. The weekly Bible studies conducted by Imani Collective reignited her faith in Christ, providing her with a spiritual anchor amidst life's storms. 

As an artisan, Jackline blossomed, gaining confidence and a sense of purpose. She not only honed her craft but also found solace in the collective, which became a second family to her. But her dreams extend beyond herself: Jackline harbors hopes for her children to complete their education and secure well-paying jobs, paving the way for their own families. She aspires to purchase a piece of land and build a home where her family and future grandchildren can thrive.

Jackline's journey epitomizes resilience, faith, and the transformative power of community. From the uncertainties of toiling to the steadfastness of hope, her story is a testament to the reliance of the human spirit.
