Deforestation and land degradation have reduced forest cover and harmed ecosystems in many communities in Ghana. This project supports tree planting and environmental restoration to protect natural resources and strengthen community resilience.
Unsustainable land use, logging, and climate change have led to soil erosion, reduced biodiversity, and declining agricultural productivity. Without restoration efforts, ecosystems continue to degrade, affecting livelihoods and increasing climate-related risks.
This project will work with communities to plant native and climate-resilient trees, provide training on tree care and environmental stewardship, and support ongoing maintenance to ensure high survival rates. Community involvement will help protect restored ecosystems and promote sustainable land use practices.
The project will restore degraded land, improve soil and water conservation, increase biodiversity, reduce climate risks, and support sustainable livelihoods for present and future generations.
