The Children’s Centre project in Dnipro, made possible through your generous support, has become a lifeline for children and families facing the daily realities of war. Since launching in June 2024, the project has worked tirelessly to address the deep psychological and educational impacts on children, creating a safe environment where they can learn, heal, and play. Through trauma-informed workshops and group support, parents have learned to navigate stress and foster stability at home, and children have found refuge in activities like art therapy and playful group sessions. Thanks to these shared experiences, families have strengthened their bonds, building trust and resilience together in a time of profound uncertainty. We are deeply grateful to you, our donors, for making this essential support possible.
In just four months, we have been able to provide individualized psychological support to 46 children and engage 33 teenagers in self-help and support groups. 77 children completed our educational program, benefiting from interactive lessons that reignited their curiosity and bridged educational gaps left by the war’s disruptions. Special ecology classes and creative workshops also brought much-needed joy, helping children not only to advance academically but to develop the self-confidence and social skills essential to rebuilding their lives.
Your support has also enabled us to extend our efforts to parents, with 42% of parents participating in psycho-educational workshops and activities that equipped them with the tools to better support their children emotionally. Through your contributions, we distributed 500 copies of a specially designed comic, I Can!, to provide parents with accessible guidance on managing the challenges they face. From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you for making the project possible, bringing stability and hope to these families.
