TransRights Pakistan aims to empower transgender individuals by advocating for their rights, providing legal support, healthcare access, economic opportunities, and fostering social inclusion. Through comprehensive programs, we seek to combat discrimination, promote acceptance, and create a more equitable society for all.
Transgender individuals in Pakistan face pervasive discrimination, violence, and economic marginalization. With approximately 90% forced into begging or sex work, they endure systemic exclusion from education, healthcare, and employment. This cycle of poverty and exploitation perpetuates due to societal stigma and legal barriers, denying them basic rights and dignity.
This project will address the problem by providing comprehensive support to transgender individuals. Through legal advocacy, economic empowerment, healthcare access, and community outreach, we'll empower them to assert their rights, gain economic independence, access essential services, and challenge societal stigma. By fostering acceptance and inclusion, we aim to create a more equitable and supportive environment for transgender individuals in Pakistan.
The long-term impact includes a society where transgender individuals are respected, protected, and included. By breaking down barriers to education, employment, and healthcare, we'll foster economic independence and social integration. This will lead to reduced discrimination, increased acceptance, and a more inclusive society where all individuals can thrive regardless of gender identity.
