During the war, one of the most vulnerable sections of Ukraine's population - lonely sick elderly people - became even more vulnerable. Many of them cannot move on their own and need constant assistance. In total, our foundation cares for more than 15,000 elderly people. Every week, we deliver food, medicine, personal care products, wheelchairs, household items and even furniture to the elderly. Our help can save many lives, so we need to act fast. So we really need help with delivery.
However, in the conditions of war, due to the unstable work of logistics companies and the high cost of transportation, it is extremely difficult for us to find the opportunity to continue to deliver everything necessary for our elderly wards. Added to all this is the shortage of cars we need and the impossibility or long delivery time to different regions of Ukraine. That is, if our wards need help right now, we can't wait a week for that opportunity.
Therefore, we desperately need our own transport. Therefore, thanks to this project, we will be able to purchase a truck with a load capacity of up to 3 tons, thanks to which we will be able to quickly deliver the essentials to all our wards who need support. Now we are helped by volunteer drivers in their own cars, but due to bomb-damaged roads and large volumes of cargo, their cars often break down. We also need funds to repair these cars, because these daredevils go where no one drives.
We are active in 10 regions of Ukraine: Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Chernihiv, Zaporizhia, Sumy, Poltava, Cherkasy, Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk and Odessa regions and we are constantly under the care of about 15,000 lonely elderly people in need. The car itself will save money and time for even greater help to these old grandparents not only during the war, but also in the further work of the fund.
