During the first half of 2026, we welcomed two players from Las Yaguaretés, Argentina's women's national rugby sevens team, to one of our Espartanos rugby programs inside prison.
Beyond sharing the field, they spent time talking with participants about the values that have shaped their own journeys as elite athletes: commitment, discipline, teamwork, resilience, and the importance of never giving up in the face of adversity.
For many participants, meeting women who proudly represent their country through sport was a powerful reminder that perseverance and effort can open new paths in life. The visit created a space for honest conversations, mutual respect, and inspiration, reinforcing that rugby is much more than a game—it is a vehicle for personal growth and transformation.
These encounters help strengthen one of the core principles of the Espartanos program: every person deserves the opportunity to be seen, encouraged, and inspired to build a different future through the values of sport.
