Camp Fire First Texas fills this gap by embedding STEAM learning into every day of our afterschool and summer day camp programs—turning curiosity into confidence through hands-on discovery.

STEAM in Afterschool Programs

• Daily Hands-On Experiences:
  Students engage in Tinker Spaces, Maker Spaces, and project-based activities that reinforce science, technology, engineering, art, and math concepts in fun, accessible ways.

• Real-World Application:
  Activities encourage problem-solving, creativity, and collaboration while helping students see how STEAM connects to their everyday lives.

• Family Engagement:
  Camp Fire hosts 22 Family Engagement STEAM Nights each year across 10 program sites, inviting families to participate in experiments, creative challenges, and interactive learning alongside their children.
